Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game EcoVerse (the “Game”, package com.sellig.ecoverse_idle) handles your information. By installing or playing the Game, you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

The Game is developed and published by Yann Gilles, an independent developer. You can reach the developer at ygilles2@gmail.com for any privacy-related question, including the rights described in the “Your Rights” section below.

Data We Process

EcoVerse is designed to require as little personal data as possible. Most of the Game runs locally on your device. The Game does not ask for your name, email, phone number, photos, contacts, microphone, or precise location, and it has no user accounts.

1. Locally stored data

The following data is stored only on your device, in the Game's private storage area:

• Your game save (restoration progress, worlds restored, species discovered, prestige / Guardians, currencies).
• Your preferences (language, music and sound volumes, tutorial and story state).
• Your purchase entitlements (e.g. whether the Supporter Pack was bought, ad-free state).

This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the Game, clearing its app data, or using the in-game “Reset Game” option deletes it.

2. In-app purchases via Google Play Billing

The Game offers optional in-app purchases (a Supporter Pack and packs of in-game “Life Seeds”). Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see, receive, or store your payment information (card numbers, billing address, etc.). We only receive an anonymous confirmation that a purchase was made, so the Game can unlock the corresponding feature.

3. Rewarded advertisements via Google AdMob

The Game offers optional rewarded video ads (for example, watch an ad to double an offline reward or relaunch a production boost). When you choose to watch one, Google AdMob may collect or process the following to deliver and measure the ad:

• Your Android Advertising ID (a resettable identifier).
• Approximate location derived from IP address.
• Device and ad interaction signals (impressions, clicks, completion).

Ads are never shown without your explicit action. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, and opt out of personalised ads, in your device's Privacy / Ads settings. Owners of the Supporter Pack are not shown ads.

How We Use the Data

The minimal data above is used only to:

• Run the Game and persist your progress on your device.
• Process your in-app purchases (Google handles all payment data).
• Serve and measure rewarded ads (only when you tap “Watch”).

We do not use your data for profiling, behavioural analysis, marketing emails, or sale to third parties.

Third-Party Services

The Game relies on the following third-party services. Each one has its own privacy practices, which you can review here:

Data Retention & Deletion

• Local data: kept on your device until you uninstall the Game, clear app data, or use the in-game “Reset Game” option.
• Ad signals: handled and retained by Google AdMob according to its own retention rules.
• Purchase records: handled and retained by Google Play Billing according to its own rules.

Because the developer has no access to your account-level data on Google services, deletion requests for those services must be made directly through Google.

Children's Privacy

EcoVerse is a family-friendly game, but it is not specifically directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction), and the developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the Game, please contact ygilles2@gmail.com and the data will be reviewed and removed where applicable.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR for the EU/EEA, CCPA for California, UK GDPR, etc.) you may have the following rights regarding personal data:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of that data.
• Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
• Withdraw consent (for any optional feature you previously used).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

In practice, because the developer holds no centralised user database, exercising most rights is done locally: uninstall the Game, clear app data, or reset your Advertising ID. For any other request, write to ygilles2@gmail.com and a response will be provided within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Game or in applicable law. The “Effective date” at the top of the page indicates when the current version became active. Substantial changes will be announced in the Game's release notes on the Play Store.
